Hawley’s TikTok bill is a distraction. The REAL threat is the RESTRICT Act which doesn’t mention TikTok. With massive fines of $250,000 per transaction with prohibited entities and $1M for using a VPN, it looks like it is targeting crypto as the Fed ramps up rules against crypto domestically and it moves offshore.
