This report shows and discusses the relevant code observed in the recent media announcement regarding MARADMIN 550-19 that is an admin policy update that describes the procedures and framework to be used for any request to activate Marine Corps reserve units when a governor requests federal assistance as part of some declared emergency or when a Governor activates their own national guard assets in the wake of a disaster and seeks to augment existing National Guard assets with the necessary equipment not immediately available and which is determined to be needed to support a declared emergency. This admin directive does not in any way fully activate the entirety of the USMC Reserves Corps but only those specifically needed when requested by a State Governor as part of some declared State Emergency.
