War this week in the provinces

Provinces, SANA- Units of the army and the armed forces on Tuesday continued to launch more military operations against the Takfiri terrorist organizations across the country, repelling their infiltration attempts and killing scores of them and injuring others, in addition to destroying their arms and vehicles.
Idleb
A military source said the Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force and forces on the ground directed intensive strikes at the concentrations of terrorists who had infiltrated al-Mastouma camp and its surroundings in Idleb countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon them.
Before that, a military source said that army units operating in al-Mastouma and its surroundings were waging intense battles with terrorists and deploying in defensive formations in Ariha area.
A media sources had reported that the army unit which was deployed in al-Mastouma camp was repositioned in Ariha, and that all members of the unit are well, and earlier the source said that army units are establishing defensive perimeters around Ariha following a fierce attack launched by terrorist groups on al-Mastoma village.
Also in Idleb countryside, an army unit destroyed 3 vehicles which were transporting Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists in the area between Qumainas and al-Mastouma.
Hasaka
The army, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, established full control over al-Shoula village in the western countryside of the northeastern Hasaka province, a source in the city told said.
This is considered an important achievement for the army given the strategic location of the village in the middle of the road linking Tal Tamr and Abyad, which would help the army expand the scope of its fire coverage and cripple ISIS movement in the area, especially in Soda and Abd villages to the southwest of Hasaka city.
It also assumed control of the eastern foot of Mountain Abdul-Aziz, which is used by ISIS as a base for launching attacks, and the solid waste treatment facility in the northwestern countryside of the province, the source told SANA.
Qabr Shamiyeh village also came under the army’s control after its units eliminated the last groups of ISIS terrorists there.
Homs
The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force carried out a series of concentrated airstrikes targeting convoys and gatherings of ISIS terrorists near Arak oil field and north of oil pumping station no. 3 in Palmyra’s eastern countryside.
A military source said the airstrikes resulted in killing many ISIS members and destroying three armored vehicles and other vehicles equipped with machineguns.
An army unit repelled an attempt by ISIS terrorists to infiltrate into oil pumping station no.3, killing and injuring scores of them and destroying their arms and munitions.
The Air Force also destroyed 7 vehicles equipped with machineguns on the highway between al-Rasafeh and al-Sukhna in Palmyra’s countryside, killing a number of ISIS terrorists including some of their leaders.
In the eastern countryside of Homs province, army units carried out operations targeting ISIS concentrations in the villages of Abu Hawadid, Zein al-Baqar, Salam Sharqi, and Khatamlo, leaving many terrorists dead and destroying their weapons and ammo.
Other army units eliminated many terrorists while targeting their concentrations in al-Habra al-Gharbiye and al-Mshairfeh al-Janoubiye around 70km east of Homs city.
Local sources in the village of Oum al-Sarj al-Shmali village told SANA’s correspondent that terrorists started fires in farmlands in a number of villages in the province’s eastern countryside, and that the locals and army units cooperated to extinguish the fires.
Damascus Countryside
Army units clashed with terrorists in Aaliya farms and Hosh al-Fara farms in the surroundings of Douma in Damascus Countryside, SANA’s field correspondent said.
The clashes resulted in the death of terrorist group leader Zaid Shabib, along with terrorists Samer al-Saroud, Zafer al-Hakim, Fahmi al-Tawwam, Hatem Amouri, Mustafa Anjila, and Mahmoud Majid.
In the farms of Tal Kurdi, an army unit carried out a special operation which resulted in destroying a vehicle and killing terrorists Omar Hamada, Mohammad al-Shazeli, Taisir Dalwan, and Ghassan Ghazi.
Another army unit killed a number of terrorists in a precision strike targeting one of their gatherings in the southern entrance of Marj al-Sultan village in al-Nashabiye area. Radwan Ahmad, Hani Taleb, Mahmoud al-Taji, Imad al-Saffaf, Nabil al-Faour, and Zuhair al-Hendi were identified among the dead terrorists.
The army carried out concentrated strikes on terrorist hideouts in the eastern mountains of al-Zabadani and the surroundings of al-Selan square in Zabadani city, killing terrorist leader Othman al-Maghrebi and a number of his group’s members.
In northern part of al-Qalamoun, army units and the Lebanese resistance eliminated the remaining pockets of terrorists in al-Fakhteh area outside the town of Fleita, which is located east of the town of Ersal in Lebanon. Abu Omar al-Taftanazi, a leader in Jabhet al-Nusra, was among the terrorists killed in that area.
Hama
In the neighboring province of Hama, units of the army and armed forces, supported by Air Force, thwarted terrorist organizations’ attempts to infiltrate into military posts in the areas of al-Zalakiyat, Zilin, Abu Obeidat in the northern countryside of the central province, inflicting heavy losses upon them and destroying a number of their vehicles including armored ones.
Aleppo
Army units destroyed dens and supply lines of Jabhet al-Nusra and ISIS and other takfiri terrorists in Aleppo and its countryside.
An army unit inflicted heavy losses upon Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed their supply lines in Kafar Hamra town near the highway to Turkey, which is the main supply line that terrorists use to smuggle fighters and weapons to the northern parts of Aleppo, a military source told SANA.
ِA number of terrorists were killed and their vehicles were destroyed during army operations in Souran town in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo, while another operation in Mran village in the northern countryside of Aleppo resulted in killing a number of terrorists and injuring others.
Another unit carried out an operation targeting terrorists’ gatherings in Daret Ezza 30 kilometers to the west of Aleppo, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their arms and ammo.
In the eastern countryside of Aleppo, a number of terrorists were killed and others were injured and their vehicles were destroying during an army operation in the area around the Air Force Academy.
In Aleppo city, army operations in Bab al-Hadeed ,east the industrial area , al-Zahra, al-Ansar, Jesr al-Haj, and neighborhoods in the Old City resulted in killing a number of terrorists from Jabhet al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations and destroying their arms, ammunition, and machinegun-equipped vehicles.
Sweida
Army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, thwarted ISIS terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate the villages of al-Qasr and al-Haqef in the northern countryside of the southern Sweida Province. A number of the terrorists were killed and their weapons destroyed.
