As the anti-Trumpers escalate their drive to further destabilize the United States, Trump returned to his winning theme from 2016, that he will end the “era of endless wars.” With the U.S. again engaging in serious dialogue with Russia, Putin used a television interview to repeat what he said in January 2017, that the anti-Trump forces are organizing a “Maidan-style” uprising against him in Washington. If Trump moves against the geopolitical doctrines of his opponents, as his West Point speech indicates, this would be a good time to also dump the neoliberal economic dogma which has driven the world into a new depression.
