European farmers from The U.K to Spain have been engaging in frequent, highly publicized protests this summer, but do you know why? The reasons are varied, but mostly involve new restrictions imposed on farmers by the EU to combat climate change, restrictions the farmers feel will likely drive them to bankruptcy. As a result many are wondering whether there is a more sinister, profit-driven agenda at play.
