A short note of welcome and thanks to all who have supported The Phaser over the last three months since we launched this web site . The Phaser is totally independent and none profit. We are a broad based news web site dealing with international issues, economics, politics, health and the environment. We do our utmost to bring you the best in Independent journalism from around the world and the “truth” of these stories as best as we can find them.

Over the last 15 years it has become glaringly obvious that the media is owned and controlled by vested interests. Journalism as a result has suffered and become blatant propaganda. Truthful, accurate, honest and insightful journalism is hard to come by. And many of those who have stepped over the party line and reported the truth have been killed. We salute them, their deaths have been a tragedy for themselves, their families and the industry. Three recent names amongst many come to mind. Serena Shim from Press TV who bravely covered the truth on the war in Syria in 2014. Beautiful and brave lady with a passion like no other for her job. Anatoly Klyan in Ukraine along with many others, for reporting the truth of the Kiev Junta’s massacre of people from Eastern Ukraine. Michael Hastings who was about to disclose explosive material to Wikileaks.

Journalism is possibly one of the most dangerous jobs in the world today, especially for those who work independently and not for corporations. Those who actually do their job are putting their lives in danger and have a very high risk of assassination. We honour and admire all the journalists and writers who we feature at The Phaser. We hope that you will find the articles and interviews we share to be insightful and helpful in a world full of lies and deceit. And would be grateful if you could share any articles that you think are of value and invite your friends to join our Face Book page and bookmark our web page link. We don’t talk much. We are too busy working! But please feel free to make comments and share discussions amongst yourselves.
