Clinton-Uranium-Russia-Rosatom : What’s the catch?

In recent years, the only country to be awarded contracts to build Nuclear Power stations is Russia. France and the UK, once leaders in this field have been left at the starting gate. From Iran to South Africa, Nigeria to Argentina, Jordan to Vietnam, Hungary to Turkey, Russia always gets the deal. After Chernobyl and the Fukushima disaster, you would think that every country on the planet would run a mile from Rosatom. According to Wikipedia:

The Russian Government has set three major goals for ROSATOM: ensure sustainable development of the Nuclear Weapons Complex; increase nuclear contribution in electricity generation (to 25%-30% by 2030) with continued safety improvement; and strengthen the country’s position on the global market of nuclear technology, by expanding traditional markets and winning new ones.”

According to the Rand Daily Mail , Rosatoms’ nuclear deals include the following benefits:

Favorable financing. Though Russia may be hurting for cash because of international sanctions, Moscow is still willing to undertake projects that promise long-term gains. The returns are expected to be more than financial. The Putin regime sees these projects as part of its national strategy. It is willing to heavily subsidize Rosatom and also provide loans to countries too poor to afford its products. These subsidies mean that Rosatom can sell nuclear reactors at a far lower price than its competitors.

Rosatom’s Build, Own and Operate scheme. Many developing countries are keen to develop nuclear power as a source of comparatively cheap energy but are unable to raise the funds to build reactors. In addition, they have neither the desire nor the expertise to operate the reactors once they are built. The build, own and operate deals remove these obstacles and put the responsibility on the Russians. But they also hold the countries hostage to Russian desires and demands. Under these controversial deals, Russia and Rosatom provide nuclear fuel, processing when it has been depleted, education for workers and technicians, maintenance and installation of any needed upgrades. Turkey’s new plant at Akkuyu is the first set to be built under these conditions.

In January 2013,  Rosatom bought out Canadian Uranium One, with uranium-mining stakes stretching from Central Asia to the American West.

In February 2013, Hillary stepped down as secretary of State and took her emails with her. Unknown at the time,  was that the Clinton Foundation had played a major role in removing obstacles for Rosatoms’ aquisition of Uranium Mines in Kazakhstan, the USA and Canada.

Also worth noting is that Nuclear Power stations across the USA are old, outdated and many are leaking dangerously high levels of radiation. Consider the following:

25 Percent of U.S. Nuclear Power Plants Are Leaking Radioactive Chemicals

Dangerous radiation leaked from three-quarters of U.S. nuclear power plants

Leaking Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant shutdown ordered as Obama pledges $50 billion for nuclear power

Radioactive Leak at Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Station

Radioactive Leak at California Nuclear Power Plant

Arkansas Hit with Nuclear Accident AND Major Oil Spill

The big question is:  why would the Clintons, other than obviously greasing their sticky little palms, support a deal where Russia and Rosatom get the lions’ share of world-wide Uranium and the benefit of follow-up deals all over the world, building Nuclear Power Stations?

These power stations will be owned and operated by the Russians themselves on the basis of “you build it you own it.” Rand Daily Mail, a Western shill media outlet gives a negative perspective, that this will enable Russia to “hold countries to ransom,” which might very well be true. But at the same time they are ignoring the fact that the central banks around the world have all been dictated to by the Federal Reserve Bank and that since the end of WW2, all nations have been held to ransom by the dollar as the international reserve currency. Currency exchange rates have been rigged in favor of the dollar  and the gold price has been continuously rigged and manipulated to keep the price down, again favoring the fiat dollar at the expense of mining companies around the globe. But that is besides the point isn’t it? That is certainly not holding the world to ransom is it? And if you are in any doubt about that, then please listen to:

But I digress…

Is there a possibility that something might be missing in all these reports, something in plain sight?

Three key phrases stand out in relation to Rosatom:

1. “…continued safety improvement,”

2. “…far lower price” and

3. “processing when it has been depleted.”

A safety improvement would include removing the dangers of using uranium in the first place. An energy source that is cheaper. Processing that energy source when it is depleted to make it harmless, which nuclear waste most certainly is not and poses an ongoing danger for generations to come.

In order to achieve Rosatoms’ goals, they would have to have a substantial amount of control over the acquisition, pricing  and processing of uranium. Which it appears Rosatom has and is achieving through the aquisition of Uranium One. They would also have to have the technology to make the production of nuclear energy cheap and effective. And then there is the nuclear waste to consider.

In all the articles I have read in the last year regarding Russia, Nuclear power plants and Uranium, not one of them has mentioned this article:

No nuclear waste: Fuel of future produced at Russia’s high-tech underground plant. Here are some extracts:

Fast fission reactors solve the problem of depleted uranium nuclear fuel on the planet. They can ‘burn’ not only ‘classic’ uranium-235, (scarce and already coming to an end), but also uranium-238, which is abundant, and expands the world’s nuclear fuel capacity by an estimated 50 times.

Fuel for breeder reactors could even be made from nuclear waste, which from an ecological point of view is a priceless advantage.

The GKhK facility will be equipped with a unique dissolvent reactor that will break down nuclear waste containing plutonium and extract plutonium dioxide to be used in MOX-fuel production.

Humankind has already produced so much nuclear waste that it would take decades, if not hundreds of years to process and recycle it. As of now, the only light at the end of the tunnel is fast-neutron reactor technology.

The fast-neutron nuclear – or breeder – reactors use technology that enables the use of a wider range of radioactive elements as fuel, thus considerably enlarging the potential stock of nuclear fuel for electric power generation.

Russia is the only country that operates fast neutron reactors industrially.

Rosatom has the patent. Are we surprised then, that countries around the world are tripping over themselves in order to sign deals with Russia? Cheap, abundant and safe energy?

Do I like Hillary? Hell no! Would I want her as the next POTUS? Hell no! She did stupid stuff in Libya, Syria, Egypt and Yugoslavia. But maybe for once, this time the silly woman did not do stupid stuff. Maybe in exchange for ensuring Rosatoms’ acquisition of Uranium One, all the leaking and dysfunctional nuclear power stations across the USA will get cleaned up, made safe, have a new lease on life and recharge energy production across the nation. Nuclear waste will be recycled, made harmless and be a source of energy for possibly hundreds of years to come. Rosatom has the patent. But then again, knowing the Clintons, do not be surprised if they stab Rosatom in the back, or their cronies do, and Hilary walks away claiming innocence.

As for Russia, one hopes that unlike the Federal Reserve Bank that has raped the planet through the international reserve fiat currency of the dollar, that maybe Russia will act with more integrity and not hold other countries to ransom as the Federal Reserve, the IMF and the World Bank have done through their corrupt financial system.

We can only hope.

The power is in their hands.
