Sumerian scholar Zecharia Sitchin ( 1920 – 2010) . It’s been 30 years since Sitchin’s influential book The 12th Planet was first published, outlining his thesis that a race known as the Annunaki descended to Earth from their planet, Nibiru, which comes into the inner solar system every 3,600 years. He announced that he is working on a new book that will be as significant as The 12th Planet and will deal with “touchy subjects.” Sitchin said he believes the Annunaki will revisit our planet “in some people’s lifetimes.” He also commented that recent pictures of Mars taken by the Spirit Rover show artificial structures such as walls and towers, which he suggested could have been constructed by the Annunaki.
