Jim’s Rant For The Day. Low Hanging Fruit
by Jim, ResetUS.us:
In the early 90s I took a class titled American History After WWII. I wanted to know what was going on in the U.S., where we were headed, and specifically, who was in charge here. I am going to recap my recap of what I learned, mostly on my own, and certainly not from the textbook. I will roll any numbers forward.
In a nutshell, Russia won WWII on the ground and we just finished mopping it up. But the real winner was the U.S. Prior to the war, the U.S. produced 25% of the world’s GDP. After the war, the U.S. produced 50% of the world’s GDP. But be aware that we are now back to producing 25% of the world’s GDP.
Prior to the war, the U.S. was neither a world borrower nor lender. After the war it was the major world lender, but today we are the world’s biggest borrower.
Prior to the war, England was the world’s superpower controlling the empire and global currency. After the war, the U.S. was the superpower, controlling the empire covertly, and now the U.S. Dollar was the world’s currency.
What I learned was that the U.S. was reluctant to get into WWII but if it had known then what would come out of it, the U.S. would have been the first to buy a ticket to it. We became the superpower, the fat cats living off the rest of the world. We have been living off the low hanging fruit ever since, until now.

We became the superpower, the fat cats living off the rest of the world. We have been living off the low hanging fruit ever since, until now.
But all of that has reversed back to where we were prior to the war. Our fortunes have been reversed and we are living, as a country, in an unsustainable manner. The only way to continue the lifestyle of which we have become accustomed is to cheat, and cheating is what we have been doing. The world has now had enough of us. This is what our leaders should be dealing with, but in my opinion, are not.
The ugly truth is about to come out for all to see. When something is unsustainable that means that it must stop. Our way of life is about to stop. Prepare for it. It will come back up again but differently. Prepare for it.
