Iraqi troops, backed by volunteer forces, continue operations to fully re-capture the strategic city of Tikrit from the ISIL terrorists.Local sources say troops managed to liberate the building of Salahuddin Provincial Council and raised the Iraqi flag over it in Tikrit. They also raised the Iraqi flag over Tikrit’s grand mosque as well as the city’s medicine college. The army earlier killed 36 ISIL Takfiri terrorists in separate operations in the city. The operations for the complete liberation of Tikrit have resumed after a ten-day pause to provide a safe passage for civilians to flee. Tikrit was seized by the ISIL in June last year.
